Tell us a little about yourself and your life:
I am a single mother to an amazing 21-year-old young man who will be graduating from the University of Central Florida at the same time as I will be graduating from Hodges. He will be getting his degree in computer engineering and then moving on to Florida State University to attend law school. His goal is to become a patent attorney. I am engaged to the most amazing man that has fulfilled my life after having lost my husband when my son was six years old. My son and I have spent a lot of years enjoying our lives together, just the two of us, doing what a mother and son should do, having fun! I presently work in a high school as a bookkeeper and enjoy my job, but am a bit stagnant because I can’t really go any further without a degree. I made a promise to my son that, when he went to college, I would do the same. He received his associate degree through dual enrollment in high school, which is how we are able to graduate at the same time. I am truly blessed with the way things have progressed in this phase of my life.
