Hodges University offers the first-time student, as well as the seasoned professional, an environment aimed to foster success, such as:
- We treat you as an individual. Class sizes are small so that each student can receive individual attention from faculty.
- Students requiring additional support with writing or study skills have a variety of services readily available at no additional cost.
- All faculty are experienced practitioners who hold appropriate academic credentials in their fields and have or are currently working in their areas of expertise.
- All faculty hold regular office hours and are available to meet with you in person or by telephone when you need it most.
- A variety of flexible delivery formats including day, evening, and online classes, as well as accelerated programs to speed graduation.
Hodges’ School of Health Sciences is offering Heartsaver® CPR AED and Heartcode® BLS certification programs in a blended format. Individuals may take the Heartsaver® CPR AED or Heartcode® BLS lessons online at their own pace before scheduling an instructor-led skills practice and testing session at Hodges. Upon successful completion of the skills practice and testing sessions, students will receive a Heartsaver® CPR AED or Heartcode® BLS card that is valid for two years.
Students in the Heartsaver® CPR AED course will learn how to recognize when someone is in need of CPR and how CPR can increase survival rates, how to administer CPR on adults and children, and experience using an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Heartcode® BLS certification is designed for healthcare professionals. Depending on the need, an in-facility or pre-hospital track may be selected.
To learn more about the program, view testing dates, schedule an American Heart Association online course or practice and test session at Hodges, visit https://hu.formstack.com/forms/cpr_bls. For more information, contact Maria Vacca at firstname.lastname@example.org or (239) 598-6285.
